We moved into our flat/office in Edinburgh almost a month ago now (I’m due a few blog posts about it!) but haven’t had a ‘proper’ day off. It’s been an incredible few weeks, though very intense spending upwards of 18hrs everyday in the same room creating & debating everything Tens.
Kris particularly was keen to stretch his legs.
The last time I’d seen the boys in YMAS was at the end of their UK Tour at Alexandra Palace in London in April. It felt like an age, and I’d made it clear in heading off from them that I was going to pursue this sunglasses thing and we’d link back up in summer. It was great to see them and show them it finally…

The best thing about these kind of events is unwittingly you meet back up with so many friends & acquaintances that you didn’t expect to be there; band, crew, agents & festival go-ers, there’s always a few faces that are a great surprise.
Pretty much all I’ve done with my creative energies for the past year has been Tens or You Me At Six, but their paths had never crossed before.
It’d only just dawned on us that the Summer festival season had begun, and as avid goers it topped the day with an extra sense of excitement that we’d be doing a similar thing every other weekend for the next few months, with an aim to (relentlessly) promo Tens out in their natural habitat.
It all got a bit hazy from here so I’ll just go pic-heavy…
For some reason the guy at the guest bar loved us and I can’t remember buying a drink all day. Max ended up behind the bar making strawberry daiquiri’s and then we ended up with a milk bottle full of it. I don’t know who that boy is and those beers definitely aren’t anything to do with us.
Tens work GREAT in real life by the way…
‘Kris Reid in his natural habitat’
Kris has worked almost every job at almost every festival in the country for the past few years. I think this is the first time I’ve seen him at a festival not working. It helps that he loves festivals.

Thanks Glasgow for the day off. Goodnight.
